How do I Register?

You have to go to any of out District Offices to do your registration. Find contact information of our Officers in Greater Accra below here..

You can also do the registration yourself by creating an account here

I want to Register online.

We recently opened up this portal so you can do Self Registration. Click here to create and account then proceed to register your business or association.

How much does Registration costs?

Client Registration and Renewal

Registration or renewal cost vary based on the size of the business as categorized below;

Category Definition Reg. Cost (GHS)
Micro 1-5 Employee(s) 50.00
Small 6-29 Employees 100.00
Medium 30-99 Employees 150.00

 

Association Registration

Association registration or renewal with GEA costs GHS 100.00.

Service Providers

Business Development Service Providers (BDS) registration or renewal with GEA costs GHS 200.00.

What are the Registration requirements?

Our Officers will ask you for the following:

  1. A passport picture (if you don’t have one, they will ask your permission to take it)
  2. Any valid picture ID Card
  3. Business Registration Certificate from Registrar Generals’ Department (that is if your business is register with RGD)
  4. GPS Address of your business

Updates to the GEA Client Portal (GEACP)

Please note the following:

1. BDS Registration Form
The BDS Registration form is being updated to align with the newly approved BDS form. This update will not affect new registrations or existing records. However, existing BDS clients will be required to update their records to conform to the new form.

2. Downloads 
An improved downloads page is being designed to allow BACs and Regions export their registrations, set backup timelines and decide/filter what data to download etc.

3. Changes to SMS Services effective 1st January 2026
a) The Client Renewal SMS feature that allows BACs to send instant renewal reminders will be discontinued.
b) SMS notifications sent to clients, BACs, and Regional Offices when client data is updated will be discontinued.
c) SMS notifications for fresh registrations and self-registrations will continue.

All email notifications, including periodic checkup messages and renewal reminders for clients, BACs, and Regions, will continue.
